Navy SEAL Combat Swim

Having difficulty trying to master this supposedly simple swimming style. Still working on the corkscrew recovery into the "Pull No. 2" for the full sidestroke. Initiating the scissor-kick move is ok so far, just the transition through the full cycle. Tendency to sink too fast, somehow related to what I feel as the scissor-kick effect causes excessive drag and hence losing buoyancy. Also, seems to me I'm optimally balanced on my right side, and can't do as well on my left.

Overall, I find this swimming style to be extremely efficient for long-distance swimming, more so than breaststroke.
