The Perils of the 'Doctrines' of Musical Worship
I came across this article from www.deceptioninthechurch.com, in which it refers to the insiduous nature of ascribing the essence of spirituality, godliness, holiness plainly according to the attributes of the style of musical worship that is employed in the midst of any congregation of worshippers.
It does a noteworthy attempt at drawing a fine line between advocating the Hebraic roots in the element of worship in the Christian faith; and that of placing an overemphasis upon the spiritualizing of worship through an un-negotiable approach of employing only the Davidic style of worship from the Old Testament.
I took an interest in sharing this article, especially because it provides a form of antithesis to how a reader may view my recent 'sudden' influx of 'interest' in the sharing of many songs used by Paul Wilbur's Messianic Praise music ministry, since I expect that that has become a backdrop thesis with regard to how I consider the value of the style used by Paul Wilbur in motivating the heart of worship for the Christian, especially the non-Jew of the Vine, in the light of the sobering language of apostle Paul towards the Gentile Christians, in the eleventh chapter of his letter to the church in Rome.
