Agricultural Noah's Ark: Doomsday Seed Vault In Arctic To Outlast Major Sea Level Rise And Permafrost Warming  http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/02/070209074207.htm

The visualisations depicted remind me of the scenario presented in the movie the "The 12 Monkeys" in which a kind of biological holocaust wreaks havoc on the entire world.  The prevailing scenery is one of a frozen wasteland, much like a 'new' ice age as envisioned in another movie "The Day After Tomorrow", brought about by global warming.  The key to all these subjects of media, together the latest news item, lies in the fact they support the fundamental cause of most, if not all, forms of activism, chief of which is the one that strives for the so-called green environment.

Not being skeptical nor showing disrepect towards the protagonists of such causes, many of whom exhibit a deep sense of passion in their endeavour, but sincerely one must measure up the finite value of such self-absorbing, self-sustaining efforts by Man, against the quiet assurance of knowing and trusting in a time transcending, all-sustaining and providential Creator G-d.

To attribute the term "Noah's Ark" to anything other than that stated in the Bible, is to perpetuate the innate desire of man to be his own protector apart from His Creator.  To the believer, there should be no doubt in identifying this trait to be among the roots of sin.

Yet, in all the continuing fallenness of Man to ever increasing depths of decadence, even as the believer observes all that is happening in the world, he and she is continued to be called to take heart with confidence in the Redeemer and the Only Begotten Son of G-d, by whom he and she receives final salvation.
