Future Weapons - Thermobaric Bomb

Image
Rather recent development in aircraft armaments technology, accelerated by the ongoing war against non-state terrorism. With special application towards neutralising Hard and Deeply Buried Targets (HDBT).

Future Weapons - Guided MLRS

Featuring footages of actual weapons testing of latest version of Multiple Launch Rocket System. This artillery rocket system now comes with guidance technologies as well as enhanced munitions lethality employing a variety of weapons delivery means (fuzing and warhead technologies) for maximum effects on target. In reality, this gives the typical unguided, area target artillery system a true precision strike capability, by marrying it with cruise missile technologies. Once, when it required an entire artillery battery or even a battalion to destroy a tactical target the size of a few football fields (which meant possible collateral damage), now all it takes is a single artillery round to take out a target within a 10-metre radius.

Future Weapons - M32 MGL

A modernised American re-make of a classic South African weapon. A terror weapon in its own right and class, suitable for use against non-state terrorists. This is as good as it gets to bringing heavy 40 mm grenade firepower to bear in quick succession by a single man, without the need for crew-served automatic grenade launchers.

Revolutionary gun technology - first working models employing this technology with modification of existing munitions, for example, Singapore Technologies Kinetics' 40 mm grenade munitions

For My Fellow Post-31ers

Just stepped on the next rung up my ladder today... Thought came to me, about my recent preference for catching the radio-waves while plugged into my mobile via its hands-free phones, all the way through the work day. And I must say my choice of 'adopted' radio station, in line with my latest coming of age, is NewsRadio 938FM, now called 938 Live (website here: http://www.938live.sg/ ).  Not just a plain, 'boring' radio station only catering to news, it actually appeals to the man-in-the-street simply because of its coverage of talk shows and various themed programmes tailored to the current affairs of the day as well as the prevailing culture in society.  Worth a listen, especially for those who are past the big 'Three-O'.

Extracted from the reference to the "Recommended Websites" section: Link , there is this article overview of the Israel Defence Force that is worthy of mention, with particular focus upon its importance to the society of the nation to which it is obligated to defend.   Certainly a model that the Singapore Armed Forces will be well-advised to pro-actively emulate, notwithstanding prevailing racial, cultural or religious sensitivities especially in regard to its Malay-Muslim constituents.  Indeed, it also definitely deserves the due maturity of the citizenry as a whole to progress from the tensions of the past which plagued the nation in its infancy.  Extract shown below (from- http://www.mahal2000.com/information/background/content.htm ): IDF Background Information Table of Contents 1 Overview 2 The army as a social leveler 3 A womb for economic growth 4 Who serves in the army? 5 Reserve Forces 6 Women in the army 7 Guiding Principl...
